[ He shrugs one shoulder, leaning forward so that he's still pressed against Derek. ]

[ He runs his hands down over Stiles back and lets out a sigh. ]

[ Stiles nudges his chin with his cheek. ]

You look kinda worried, big dude.

[sassywolf]

I'm in a constant state of worry, this is normal.

[benchwarming]

Hey, so am I, but I can still notice it when you look more pensive than normal.

[sassywolf]

[ He lets out a huff. ]

I just don't think it's one of your better ideas to be skipping school after the meeting this morning.

[benchwarming]

[ He stills. ]

Probably not, but I gave them an excuse and I don't... I wanted to be close by. You looked angry.

Because it's not exactly something that's going to be understood immediately.

[ That makes him look at Derek curiously. ]

No one ever explained it - they just didn't think you'd ever want to make babies with someone? Not that I can, I don't have the hips for that, but you know.

It's complicated. I was maybe thirteen when my dad brought it up with me. The entire prospect was something I thought I'd have years to figure out.

[ Stiles loops his arms around Derek's shoulders as if to reassure him that this is his curiosity speaking, not anything that will make Stiles run off. ]

A little bit, sure, but not a lot.

[ He sighed, reaching up to hold Stiles' face. ]

[ Stiles leaned into Derek's touch easily, nuzzling his cheek against the older man's hand. ]

You already shared most of what you knew, huh.

[sassywolf]

Yeah.

[ He brushed his thumb over the smooth skin. ]

[benchwarming]

[ He kept rubbing his cheek against Derek's hand, letting out a soft noise. ]

We'll figure it out. Maybe someone can help, or we'll just wing it. Like always.

[sassywolf]

We'll probably wing it.

[ Stiles, meanwhile, was willing to brave embarrassment and ask someone, but he gave a soft laugh. ]

Of course we probably will.

[sassywolf]

[ The laugh earned a very slight curve tugging at the corners of Derek's mouth. ]

There are bigger things that need attention right now.

[benchwarming]

[ Stiles grinned but looked at Derek seriously after a moment. ]

The Alpha pack, right?

[sassywolf]

Yeah. [ He gave a nod, his own expression fading back to the usual almost frowning one. ]

[benchwarming]

[ He curled his fingers around the back of Derek's neck. ]

We're supposed to get better now that we're both doing this, right? It makes the pack stronger.

[sassywolf]

It should, it'll also make you stronger than you were before as a beta.

[benchwarming]

Like Alpha power bleedover?

[ Stiles seems vaguely intrigued by this. ]

I mean, if we take in the fact that the pack is going to defer to me a little more and make me stronger...

[sassywolf]

Sort of.

[ He nodded along to the second part. ]

That naturally is a part of it but because of this, [ Grasping Stiles' wrist ] it'll be stronger.

Right, that makes sense...

[ Stiles presses his wrist into Derek's hold, suddenly smirking a little. ] Does that mean I might get to top sometimes?
