We can't just - just let Chris chase you and Scott around, or chase Chris around. This isn't the middle ages!

Then talk to Scott and talk to Allison and if you're still on good terms with them then go with them and speak to Argent and if he for some reason thinks a truce is okay, then speak to me and we'll figure something out but I really don't see that happening.

[ Stiles glares at the Alpha. ]

[ He snapped, all too aware of that fact that he didn't always make the most sense. ]

[ he said it to his phone screen, and okay, that was half a lie, but he said it anyway. ]

[ His eyes flashed red. ]

[ Stiles finished his text, thumbing it out and then looked at Derek. His own eyes flashed, and he felt a pull to look away but he didn't. ]

I won't challenge you when you make sense. You're my alpha but that doesn't mean I won't call you on your shit.

[ Derek lets out a small growl. ]

I have my reasons for not wanting to approach the Argents.

[benchwarming]

No, I get that you do. Between Kate and Gerard, I'm surprised you haven't gone psychowolf on them.

But they're also the only people who can help us if something goes wrong, and I'd rather not worry that if Mr. Argent has to help us, the next thing he'll do after the monster of the week is down is put a bullet through you.

[sassywolf]

[ He kept his glare sharp. ]

Fine, go talk to him then but don't be surprised if your plan backfires.

Do you have any better suggestions?

[ This time he was losing his temper, shouting at Derek as his eyes flashed gold. ]

[sassywolf]

No, I don't.

[ He was really quite close to wanting to shove Stiles against something but resisted the urge, he kept his eyes on him through the flash. At this point, Derek was almost willing to peg Stiles as more unruly than Scott. ]

Then quit acting like I'm having the worst ideas in the world.

[ Stiles' temper was still boiling, his eyes still gold, before he looked down at the phone as it buzzed, frowning. ]

[sassywolf]

[ He growled. ]

I don't approve of it. You already know why so I don't see why you would assume I would give your idea my support.

[benchwarming]

Because you're being a stubborn idiot and I keep hoping that will change?

[ Stiles isn't even looking at Derek as he says it. ]

[ Stiles types something out on his phone, then looks at Derek. ]

I can see that. Anything else you want to yell about? I need to actually be at Scott's to talk to him about this.

stiles telling him about a meeting? or possibly scott being a butthead and refusing to do a meeting

[ Those words kind of hurt, but Stiles does his best to cover the hurt expression. He salutes sarcastically and turns to leave the Hale house, senses on alert for hunters. ]

stiles should tell him about the meeting. that would be good B)

[ Derek spends the next while brooding and being harder on the pack as a result. There are whispers amongst the group on occasion (about a fight with him and Stiles) usually accompanied by snickers, so for the next while Derek takes to staying in the subway station. ]

[benchwarming]

[ Possibly, the whispers were because Stiles refused to come around the pack.

But eventually, unfamiliar footsteps were entering Derek's subway abode, and with it a loud voice. ]
