No, the whole creature of the night thing.

[ He didn't want to stick his head into business that wasn't exactly his own but if Stiles was pack then it sort of became his business and the Sheriff really wasn't the type that wouldn't notice more odd habits sprouting up in his son. ]

[ it was easy despite the words coming out in a rush, and he winced. ]

[ Stiles looks at Derek, then back into the dark. ]

You wanna go see if it's safe now?

I was planning on it.

[ He wasn't sure if he wanted Stiles to tag along with him however. ]

The Argents don't know you're one yet, do they?

I told Scott if he told Allison that I would find new and interesting ways to exploit his healing factor.

So, no, they don't.

[ He looked at Derek, a stubborn expression on his face. He wasn't going to let the Alpha go back alone. ]

[ Resourceful. Derek gave him an approving nod. ]

[ He started to head back in the direction of the Hale house, but he was using more caution than normal, like choosing not to shift. Instead he only walked at a brisk pace, one, that in the past, would have left Stiles huffing and puffing in a matter of minutes. ]

i'm debating the best way to do dishes, cook and tag all at once

[ Stiles followed after Derek when he began to walk. The brisk pace made him run a little bit to catch up, still used to walking slower. However, he knew he wasn't breathing hard, though he could feel his heart rate climbing. ]

Well, this would have been hard to keep up a while ago.

do you need dishes too cook with or can you cook, tag than do dishes?

[ He glanced over at Stiles, listening to his heart beat. ]

You'll need to train more, but yeah.

[ Stiles huffed a breath softly, pulling his hoodie off his body - already getting hotter. ]

Yeah, I know, training. I'm lucky that school's letting out for spring break soon.

Not just for spring break, but that might be a good lead in. Also, don't go to a gym and start bench presses three-hundred. It's more believable if you find something you can do in small amounts for a greater period of time than something larger. Doing it in the comfort of your own home can help too.

What about running? I was already good at running before.

[ Stiles mostly mutters it, running a hand over his head as he looks around in the dark. ]

We might miss something.

[ He says quiet, crouching down to the tracks and following their trail out. ]

So they followed me this far out.

[ That was unsettling but it was clear they weren't hear anymore. He was tempted to follow the fresher tracks back, and it might be a good idea to but he didn't want to lead Stiles into any danger if it could be avoided. ]

Obviously you needed sleep!

I meant training. Maybe I can be a fast wolf instead of a ridiculously strong one like you.

[ Stiles crouched down next to Derek, looking at the tracks as well. ]

Looks like they were digging in fast to find you. They could still be looking.

I guess so!

Which is why you're not going to shift. [ He stood again and continued on in the direction of the Hale house because Stiles wasn't ready to face hunters yet and he didn't need the hunters to find out he was now one of them. ]

[benchwarming]

And also because I might eat someone if we're unlucky instead of just getting a mouthful of teeth and some sideburns.

[ Stiles reminds Derek of that (as if he didn't already know) as he stands and trots after the Alpha wolf.

(That he's following Derek with not too much fuss doesn't go mentioned, for now) ]

I'd stop you before that happened.

[ Rolling his eyes at the teeth and sideburn comment. ]

You're also going to have to learn the importance of staying quiet. I might not be able to sense them right now but that doesn't give you the initiative to talk my ear off.

Hey, I can be quiet! I can totally do quiet.

[ He drops his voice to a whisper, which is still pretty dang loud by werewolf standards. ]

I can tell. [ Sarcasm and a shaking of the head. So much left for Stiles' to learn. ]

[ Stiles glared at Derek, and maybe tried to kick at one of his ankles as they were walking back towards the Hale house.

(No one said a werewolf named Stiles wasn't still Stiles. ]

[ Derek avoided it easily enough but it didn't stop him from quirking a bro at Stiles for it. ]

[ Stiles stuck his tongue out at Derek when he saw that, before glancing around the woods again, obviously looking and listening for hunters. ]

[ Did Derek just snort? No. You're hearing things. A bug flew into his nose. He was getting it out. ]
